MY APPROACH

Working At Inflection Points

I work with professionals at moments when familiar strategies no longer fit and the next step feels unclear. These inflection points often emerge during career transitions, leadership shifts, or deeper questions of alignment.

Rather than treating these moments as problems to solve quickly, my approach treats them as signals—indicating that a more thoughtful, intentional way forward is needed.

Inflection points rarely call for more effort or better tactics. They call for clarity about what matters, what no longer fits, and what kind of leadership the moment requires.

Perspective Shaped by Complexity

My approach is informed by years of work in environments where decisions carried real consequence and ambiguity was unavoidable. Complex systems, power dynamics, and competing priorities were not abstract ideas—they were daily realities.

This perspective shapes how I approach coaching: with respect for nuance, an understanding of pressure, and an appreciation for the unseen forces that influence decisions and behavior.

Trust & Alignment

Building confidence and internal coherence.

Calm Under Pressure

Strengthening judgment and leadership capacity.

Talent & Growth

Steady thinking in complex situations.

A Philosophy Grounded in Clarity

I believe effective leadership begins with clarity—about values, priorities, and constraints. Without clarity, even capable leaders can find themselves expending energy in ways that feel misaligned or unsustainable.

My approach emphasizes thoughtful reflection alongside practical strategy, helping clients align how they lead with what matters most to them. Sustainable success emerges from decisions that are both intentional and grounded, not reactive or externally driven.

How I Approach The Work

The work is structured, reflective, and deliberately paced. Rather than offering answers or prescriptions, I focus on creating the conditions for clear thinking—where insight can emerge, priorities can be named, and decisions can be tested honestly.

This approach supports judgment that holds up over time, especially in moments where the stakes are high and the path forward is not obvious.

Professional Background

  • Former American diplomat and global health leader

  • UC Berkeley — BS in Molecular Environmental Biology, MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics

  • Georgetown University — Leadership coach training

  • ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC)

My work is grounded in professional training, real‑world leadership experience, and ethical coaching practice.

Why This Approach Matters

I do this work because clarity changes how people lead and live. I’ve seen how having a steady, thoughtful thinking partner can restore perspective and momentum during uncertain moments.

My role is not to provide answers, but to help clients access their own insight and move forward with purpose—especially when the way ahead is not yet fully visible.
